On the 30th of April 2017 my family went on a picnic at Fort Howard Park which is located
at the terminal end of the North Point peninsula. Fort Howard Park’s
historical significance is its connection with the largest invasion of
the United States in history on the morning of September 12, 1814.
The Park sets on the shoreline where the Chesapeake Bay merges
with the Patapsco River. It is also heavily wooded, and is a former US
Army coastal battery.
Good place to spend the day walking around the old battlegrounds.
A great park with beautiful water views, amusing playgrounds and historical areas to explore.
I had a great day with the family.
